Summary
Conduct laboratory tests, including specialized and/or complex analytical procedures; reviewing and approving quality control procedures; and updating laboratory procedures

- Performs specialized procedures, such as drug abuse testing and enzyme immunoassay testing for thyroid function, infertility, and allergies.
- Instructs staff in technical procedures.
- Reviews, evaluates, and implements new procedures.
- Conducts proficiency testing.
- Inventories supplies and equipment.
Education and Experience
Licensed as a Medical Laboratory Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist in one of the specialty areas to which the position is allocated and two years of appropriate experience.
Licensure and Certification
Licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in one of the specialty areas to which the position is allocated and two years of appropriate experience.
