Public Safety Accreditation Manager

Summary

This position performs difficult and complex administrative work, including but not limited to, managing the accreditation process to ensure the achievement and retention of a various public safety accreditations. Provide assistance and oversight during compliance reviews and inspections.  Reviews agency aide agreements between various local, state, and federal agencies.

  • Oversees the accreditation process to ensure achievement and retention of various public safety accreditations.
  • Coordinates the annual process of reviewing and updating department directives; coordinate and supervise the collection of proofs of compliance for all accreditation standards for annual compliance.
  • Interpret and communicates rules, policies, and regulations of the University of Florida and the various accreditation entities as it relates to the Public Safety operations of the University of Florida. Develop and conduct educational sessions promoting the accreditation process and adoption of a compliance operational framework.
  • Serves as a liaison with accrediting organizations as well as other local, state, and federal agencies.

Education and Experience

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and five years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and seven years of relevant experience.
