This is specialized* non-sworn law enforcement work coordinating the operations of a public safety communications center involving computerized radio dispatching and operating telephone, radio, and computer systems in the communications center.

- Provides training/instruction/directs the tasks of Police Communications Operators on a shift.
- Updates communications reference materials.
- Prepares detailed records and reports in a timely manner.
- Contacts issuing police agencies by telephone or teletype to confirm warrants.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Licensure and Certification:
State certification on the NCIC/FCIC computer system
This position does not typically supervise.
