Clinical Simulation Educator
Summary
As a Clinical Simulation Educator, this position will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating simulation-based educational programs across various healthcare disciplines, including (but not limited to) medicine, physician assistant, pharmacy, nursing, physical therapy, and clinical psychology.
Examples of Work
- Developing and delivering curriculum to facilitate simulation-based learning experiences, utilizing advanced simulation equipment and technology.
- Collaborating with faculty and educators to design, implement, and facilitate simulations, as well as providing evaluation and feedback to learners.
- Providing technical support for simulation equipment and software, with ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
- Ensuring simulation activities meet learning objectives and support the organization’s mission of excellent patient care and nursing’s vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice.
- Maintaining inventory of simulation materials, equipment, and supplies, as well as staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in simulation-based education.
- Developing reports and metrics to evaluate simulation program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master’s degree in Education (MEd) required. s.
Licensure and Certification
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statute
Supervision
This position will supervise program participants, directing and evaluating their activities in the simulation environment to ensure they meet learning objectives and adhere to best practices.
