Clinical Simulation Operations Specialist
Summary
The Clinical Simulation Operations Specialist provides professional support for training and development programs at the University of Florida. This role assists the Simulation Program with activities surrounding simulation/experiential learning events, ensuring high-quality education activities for individual or organizational performance.
Examples of Work
- Provide operational support to the Simulation Program, including equipment maintenance, simulation preparation, and logistics management.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs, including simulation design, participant management, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify training needs and develop simulation-based learning experiences.
- Conduct tours and simulation sessions for internal/external groups and/or individuals.
- Assist in data collection and generate utilization reports as requested, and perform educational research activities.
- Promote patient safety and quality outcomes, and assist with the management of risk and safety issues.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for simulation, and perform troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure and Certification
- Basic Life Support should be obtained within 90 days of hire (based on course availability).
- HIPAA training required.
Supervision
This position supervises training participants, providing guidance and feedback to ensure a successful learning experience.
