  • Operates an electron microscope for teaching, research and consultative purposes.
  • Prepares specimens using established procedures.
  • Develops and prints photographs made with the electron microscope.
  • Prepares chemicals and solutions for use in the operation of the electron microscope.
  • Sections specimens.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience; or certification by the Electron Microscopy Society of America. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
