Summary

Manage, create, and distribute metadata for various types of content. Manage digital content distribution, such as ebooks, other digital assets, and their related metadata, to vendors and partners. Ensure that metadata follows established standards and best practices.

  • Manage bibliographic metadata, including creating and updating records for both print and digital editions across multiple platforms.
  • Organize and maintain metadata repositories or databases.
  • Enhance existing metadata to improve its accuracy, completeness, and usefulness.
  • Add and optimize keywords, correct errors, and link related items.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of metadata, including data validation and consistency checks.
  • Monitor vendor sites, including the websites of major online retailers, to ensure that live metadata and supplemental information is current and accurate.
  • Ensure quality of all book-related content on vendor sites.
  • Manage digital content distribution, such as ebooks and other digital assets, to vendors and partners.
  • Oversee the distribution of all appropriate materials to account buyers and sales representatives.
  • Work closely with members of the Sales & Marketing department to create and disseminate the most up-to-date promotional material for titles throughout various platforms.
  • Collaborate with unit leaders with strategizing on marketing, publicity, sales opportunities, and special promotions.
  • Generate monthly and annual sales reports and interpret account sales data.
  • Write, edit, proofread, and review descriptive and other promotional copy for seasonal catalogs, book jackets/covers, and websites.
  • Communicate with authors regarding final edits to descriptive copy.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience.
