Prospect Data Analyst I
Summary
This position is a key partner in managing strategies and initiatives that inform cultivation and solicitation of major and principal gift prospects. Responsible for portfolio and data management, prospect data integrity, data analysis, report writing and documenting policies and procedures.

- Create and execute reports to analyze the efficiency and efficacy of Prospect Strategy & Research (PSR) recommendations and related fundraiser activity.
- Assist with special campaign projects as identified by leadership, which may include conducting targeted analyses, partnering with unit and internal groups and developing and executing recommendations.
- Work on other special projects (e.g. CRM enhancement projects, Teams Days [focused, team-wide prospecting projects]), as assigned by supervisors.
- Demonstrate proficiency with data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, SOQL Cognos, Salesforce reports and CRM Analytics.
- Attend and participate in meetings, workgroups, committees, and other internal responsibilities logically related to the role.
- Keep informed of prospect management and data analysis industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
- Document internal audit processes and procedures and other processes and procedures as assigned, report and work toward resolution of issues.
- Assist with Salesforce report builds using list views, Salesforce reports, CRM Analytics and/or other reporting tools.
- Take proactive steps to learn, recommend and implement new reporting tools and solutions.
- Identify, create, modify and automate audits to ensure the integrity of data.
- Work closely with PSR staff to communicate prospect management data standards and correct inaccuracies.
- Demonstrate understanding of data structure in current and future states of the CRM.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and two years of relevant experience in prospect management and/or research or fundraising analytics in a higher education setting.
