Prospect Research Analyst III
Summary
Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of tasks including the more independent, responsible, varied and complex research and data analysis that supports the university’s fundraising program. Will lead and manage projects or activities.

- Utilize a variety of reference materials, online databases, Internet, and governmental or other agency resources to obtain information on prospects of funding sources for gifts to the University.
- Organize, analyze and interpret accumulated information to assess financial capacity, philanthropic tendencies, giving propensity and connections to UF.
- Prepare a range of thorough, accurate and timely research deliverables on UF donors and prospects, from high- level overviews to in-depth profiles, for a variety of audiences across UF. Research subjects may include individuals as well as local, national, and international corporations and foundations.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the donor database and expertise in retrieval of information. Work closely with Data Integrity and other departments to update critical information and maintain integrity in the database.
- Collaborate with Prospect Strategy & Research (PSR) team members on proactive projects, goal setting and long- term strategic planning for prospect identification and portfolio support.
- Supervise Research Analysts in the assigned vertical, including hiring, onboarding, training and professional development, delegating duties, mentoring, certifying time and attendance, performance management (including annual appraisal) and performance action plans.
- Provide comprehensive orientation and facilitate ongoing professional development for managed staff ensuring a high level of service delivery to PSR team partners.
- Review and monitor ongoing projects for Research Analysts and elevate any obstacles to appropriate vertical lead for resolution.
Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of relevant experience.
