Sustainability Analyst
Summary
Supports the development and deployment of Climate Action Plan (CAP) best practices in sustainability targeting institutional and individual actions across a range of topical areas with a focus on climate change and associated action areas (e.g. climate, energy, transportation, and the built environment).
Examples of Work
- Collaborates to manage strategic implementation of climate action plan and sustainability into campus operations and help integrate academic and operational sustainability programs.
- Develops and engages the campus community with behavioral best practices that result in measurable and/or foundational improvements in campus sustainability metrics, especially related to greenhouse gas emission reduction.
- Serve as liaison with other departments and units concerning services and functions provided by business and financial/auxiliary services related to sustainability and climate action plan.
- Assist with evaluating effectiveness of programs and projects in support of strategic climate action goals.
- Support the range of responsible units across campus to help them prioritize, plan, and execute key climate actions.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience.
Licensure and Certification
Current driver’s license.
Supervision
This position does not typically include supervisory responsibility.
