IT Portfolio Manager
Summary
UF Information Technology Classification*
The IT Portfolio Manager is a senior-level position that oversees complex project portfolios and programs while managing the technical/business relationship between all stakeholders in the UF Community. This senior-level position combines strategic portfolio/program management with business relationship management to deliver technology solutions that align with organizational objectives.

· Regularly meet with UF Community stakeholders to understand needs, maintain strong partnerships, and organize work to meet strategic goals
· Oversees multiple complex projects simultaneously, managing interdependencies and resource allocation
· Develops and maintains project portfolios, programs, and roadmaps with significant university-wide impact
· Creates detailed work plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and status reporting for enterprise programs
· Ensures adherence to quality standards, policies, procedures, and best practices across all projects
· Conducts risk analysis and monitors progress against milestones and budgets
· Manages technical/service relationships between UF Community stakeholders, UFIT, and vendors
· Works strategically with the UF Community to achieve customer satisfaction
· Facilitates programs from concept through implementation, coordinating with stakeholders to define objectives
· Performs post-implementation program reviews to assess achievements and results
· Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower-level professionals
· Provides guidance to project teams
· Serves as subject matter expert in both project management and business relationship management
· Manage large projects or processes with limited oversight

· Solve difficult and often complex problems
Education and Experience
Master’s degree and six years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree and eight years of relevant experience.
Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Licensure and Certification
Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP®), Project Management Professional (PMP)®, Program Management Professional (PgMP) or CBRM® Practitioner Credential.
Supervision
This position may lead team activities and/or supervise members of the IT project teams at the discretion of UF leadership.
