Veterinary Client Services Supervisor
Summary
This position oversees client services in the Small Animal Hospital and the service representatives embedded into specialty services such as Primary Care, Emergency, Dentistry, etc. Provides direction and assistance to client service staff, technicians, students, clinicians, and clients in regards to customer service. Also, provides functional supervision of the client service team and assist in making appropriate decisions and implementing policies and procedures. Ensures mission is met by providing excellent customer service. This position works one-on-one with clients and hospital staff and must be able to develop friendly, professional relationships and maintain a positive attitude throughout all interactions.

- Promotes teamwork within the hospital to meet the needs of our clients and patients and to effectively support team members.
- Responsible for recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Ensure staff meet and maintain minimum standards for technical knowledge and patient care through regular training, assessments, and continuing education. Serves as a subject-matter expert and resource in regards to hospital operations, customer service, and financial responsibility.
- Provides instruction to students, technicians, and others in techniques, protocols, and procedures.
- Coaches staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity.
- Delegates work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback throughout the year. Ensures staff understand and adhere to established protocols. Partners with team leaders in developing new programs, digital content, recruitment programs, or other efforts to retain and train staff.
- Responsible to ensure uncompromising levels of cleanliness throughout the facility while creating a safe and accident free environment.
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Supervision
This position does include supervisory responsibility. Provides general instruction and review to veterinary students and staff. May provide periodic instructions and review of student workers, volunteers, and OPS.
