- Keeps laboratory supplies ready and maintains lab cleanliness by properly removing biohazard waste and disinfecting bench tops.
- Maintains lab cleanliness by properly removing biohazard waste and disinfecting bench tops.
- Maintains up to date filing system by scanning completed requisitions and filing slides from completed cases.
- Manually enter results, post results, QC entries.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience, including six months in a laboratory setting.
Licensure and Certification
None
Supervision
Received: Detailed and precise supervision from clinicians, supervisors or higher ranking technicians. Instructions are both written and oral. Minimal supervision is required but supervisor is normally available for advice and consultation.
Exercised: May provide general instruction and guidance to veterinary students, technicians and clinicians as required in the submission of lab samples.
