Faculty Relations Coordinator

Summary

This position provides professional support to faculty and coordinates faculty academic programs and faculty leadership development programs for a particular college. Serves as the primary college resource for faculty matters.  Coordinates college-wide faculty recruitment, orientation, appointment, reappointment, retention, promotion, and tenure procedures. Works closely with deans, academic department heads, and faculty leadership on academic strategic affairs. Manages programs in support of faculty development, wellbeing, and productivity; faculty success and recognitions; and faculty rights, grievances, and issue resolution.

  • Assist faculty members with inquiries, requests, and administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate faculty recruitment, appointments, and contract renewals.
  • Maintain faculty records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Facilitate orientation programs for new faculty members.
  • Stay updated on institutional policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Provide guidance to faculty regarding policy interpretation and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of faculty-related policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure adherence to policies.
  • Serve as a liaison between faculty and various departments within the institution.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels between faculty and administration.
  • Organize and coordinate faculty meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Foster positive relationships and maintain a supportive environment for faculty.
  • Assist in organizing professional development opportunities for faculty members.
  • Coordinate workshops, seminars, and conferences relevant to faculty growth.
  • Support faculty in accessing resources for research, teaching, and career advancement.
  • Collect and analyze data related to faculty demographics, workload, and performance.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and statistical analyses on faculty-related matters.
  • Assist in evaluating faculty performance review processes and documentation.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
