HVAC Mechanic I
Summary
Install, repair, replace, and preventively maintain heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment; refrigeration equipment; and cold rooms. Provide support services to other trades.

- Install, repair, replace, and preventatively maintain HVAC equipment, refrigeration equipment, and cold rooms
- Provide support services to other trades (as required) for timely and efficient repair of buildings and/or equipment
- Clean and maintain shop; clean and maintain personal equipment
Education and Experience
High school diploma (or equivalent) and completion of one year (or equivalent) of an HVAC apprenticeship program and one year of appropriate experience; appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Licensure and Certification
Driver license may be required (if duties dictate).
Appropriate Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification required within 6 months of hire within six (6) months of hire.
Supervision
This position does not typically include supervisory responsibility.
