Summary

The Laboratory Courier II is responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, ensuring excellent service to clients and acting as a trusted liaison between clients and PathLabs. Key responsibilities include managing supplies, maintaining vehicle condition, and daily database maintenance.

  • Verify specimens at various locations, ensuring optimum transport conditions including recording, monitoring, and maintaining temperature ranges for laboratory specimens. Enforce specimen rejection/acceptance policy by confirming patient identification.
  • Deliver mail and materials, meeting specified turnaround times for consumables. Fill client supply orders daily, monitor inventory levels, and report discrepancies. Assist in weekly and monthly supply inventory. Screen and distribute supply orders, communicate with clients, and provide exceptional service.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance, checking fluids, fuel, and lubricants regularly and report malfunctions, accidents, or issues immediately; maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Represent the company professionally and escalate customer concerns or opportunities to management. Identify potential customers, communicate discoveries to PathLabs Client Relations team, and provide support to Laboratory personnel.

Education and Experience

Completion of ninth grade and one year of relevant experience. Classified Driver License (CDL) may be required based on the vehicle type operated.
