Manager, Maintenance
Summary
Leads and manages special projects for the entire maintenance department. Reviews requirements for equipment and material logistics, implements inventory control systems, and orders and maintains stock of materials and equipment.

- Researches, quotes and coordinates rental of large equipment; work with area supervisors to schedule use of equipment.
- Consults with the supervisor on major problems that may need specialized materials and staffing. Assists Superintendent with confined space procedures, inspecting environmental issues, and the employment hiring process. Coordinates staff training, including yearly lock-out tag-out, heat stress, hot works, and other departmental training requirements.
- Performs computer related activities, including but not limited to, tracking work orders and projects, documenting expenditures, approving timecards and leave records, and notifying residents of impending work.
- Responsible for maintenance and repairs of assigned vehicles and other equipment.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 2 years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
