Procurement Agent IV
Summary
This position is responsible for advanced level procurement duties for the University, including public solicitations, contract negotiations, supplier business reviews, requisition processing, and training internal, campus and external staff.

Facilitates and develops contracts.
Handles public solicitation (Invitations to Bid, Invitations to Negotiate) and determines method of acquisition.
Reviews and approves requisitions, change orders and issues purchase orders checking for compliance with statute, regulation, directive and policy.
Reviews and modifies vendor-provided contracts.
Responsible for training new buyers on internal procedures.
Responsible for training campus and outside UF policies/regulations/statutes.
Purchases a broad areas of goods/services: research & scientific, service contracts, information technology and minor construction/MRO.
Participates in supplier Business Reviews and contract management.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

This position may serve as a lead or may have supervisory responsibility.
