Program Director, Career Services

Summary

Responsible for overseeing and enhancing career development programs and services for students. Develop strategic initiatives and collaborate with academic departments and employers to ensure effective career support that aligns with institutional goals.

  • Develop and implement strategies for customized student career development initiatives and employer connections.
  • Lead the short- and long-term strategic planning, strategic alignment, and management for area of responsibility.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive professional career services and industry engagement initiatives to prepare students for life, work, and citizenship.
  • Develop and maintain positive and strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders and fosters connections between academics, career services, and industry.
  • Oversee assessments, data tracking and analysis related to activities for functional area(s).
  • Support budget development and management.
  • Ensure all programs and activities comply with university, state and federal regulations, and maintains an inclusive working environment free from discrimination and harassment.

Education and Experience

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience.
