Special Projects Coordinator

Summary

The Special Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of projects that require a diverse set of business and management skills while collaborating with partners to define project objectives and scope. They identify necessary resources, develop project schedules, and ensure timely project completion. This role involves working closely with project stakeholders to align project goals while adhering to policies.

  • Meet with community leaders to understand project expectations. 
  • Conduct project meetings and communicate project status to partners, team members, vendors, and supervisors. 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with business units and key partner groups to align project objectives. 
  • Translate objectives into well-defined projects with clear scope, timelines, deliverables, resources, and success metrics. 
  • Set and communicate project expectations to stakeholders. 
  • Facilitate meetings and resolve project issues. 
  • Research and analyze issues that may hinder project progress and seek resources for resolution. 
  • Create comprehensive project plans, including timelines and milestones. 
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. 
  • Proactively manage and communicate changes in project scope and identify potential crises. 
  • Support the development of project management best practices and tools. 
  • Conduct post-project assessments and evaluations.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
