Utility Line Locator

Summary

This position operates equipment and instruments to locate underground utility lines.

• Responsible for locating, marking and protecting main and service lines used for electric, chilled water, steam water, wastewater, fiber optic, gas and reclaimed water.
• Process dig permit applications.
• Coordinate with mapping technicians to update utility records.
• Coordinate field appointments.

Education and Experience

High school diploma and three years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

This position may include supervisory responsibility.
