ASO DIR, Project Management Office
Summary
This position plays a crucial role in supporting the University of Florida’s fundraising efforts through data-driven insights, process improvements, and strategic collaboration across campus. Responsible for ensuring best practices in project management, business analysis, and change management to develop, document and implement departmental and organizational priority technical projects, process improvements, and procedures.

- Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine the organization’s project management and business analysis strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Oversee the portfolio of projects within the University, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic importance, resource availability, and potential impact.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project managers, business analysts, and teams across campus, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with leadership to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that project teams have the necessary personnel, budget, and tools to deliver on project objectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential impacts on project delivery.
- Facilitate communication, decision making and tracking, and collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and issues.
- Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices for project management and business analysis, conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance and adherence to standards.
- Develop and maintain project management and business analysis metrics and reporting mechanisms to track project performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize project outcomes.
- Lead and support organizational change initiatives associated with project implementations, ensuring smooth transitions and effective adoption of new processes or technologies.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners as needed, managing relationships and contracts to support project delivery and achieve desired outcomes.
- Support professional development, providing training, coaching, and opportunities for skill enhancement and career growth.
- Understand University information systems and coordinate training and other technology implementations with leadership.
- Will directly supervise, train and direct the work of assigned staff.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree and five years of relevant experience in project management, information technology, business analysis, or related field; or a bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant experience in project management, information technology, business analysis or related field.
