DIR, Project Management Office
Summary
This position will lead complex technical priority projects that transform business operations for the University of Florida. Key responsibilities include serving as the program director for the implementation of the technology roadmap, while driving best practices in project management, leading the development of comprehensive documentation strategies for new technology and data projects, and spearheading the strategy for training and change management relative to new technology.

- Steward and refine the framework for project management, business analysis, and change management and training in the context of large-scale technology transformations, including the ongoing visioning of and strategic planning.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in project management, business analysis, and change management and training across the campus; Develop and implement standardized project management, business analysis, and change management and training methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support the implementation of priority projects establishing actionable plans, systems, processes, and strategic metrics consistent with advancing priorities and ensuring an integrated, coordinated, thorough and effective approach to project management.
- Develop and maintain processes related to change management and the documentation of business processes and oversee the development of a content management repository.
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive change management and training strategies that ensure successful long-term adoption of new technology.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the campus; Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project success; Develop contingency plans to address potential roadblocks and ensure timely resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management, business analysis, and change management and training practices and increase operational efficiency.
- Understand University information systems and coordinate training and other technology implementations with leadership.
- Oversee annual strategic business plan and budget for the unit.
- Will directly supervise, train and direct the work of assigned staff.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree and six years of relevant experience in project management, information technology, business analysis, or related field; or a bachelor’s degree and eight years of relevant experience in project management, information technology, business analysis or related field.
