Finance Business Partner II
Summary
Serves as a strategic partner and liaison for employees and managers throughout the UF enterprise and core finance functions. Serves as a mentor and coach to others regarding finance processes, rules and regulations. Acts as an advisor to assess needs and provide recommendations to promote best practices. Drives change initiatives across the finance function and develops effective partnership between core functions and department or unit staff.

- Consults with finance staff enterprise-wide to assess needs, identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations to leadership
- Liaises between enterprise-wide finance staff and core finance function to provide recommendations on internal controls and fiscal best practices, ensuring alignment with policies, goals and standards
- Provides strategic and tactical support for finance staff on a variety of matters
- Participates in the planning process and development of finance strategy and process improvement projects to meet and support the needs of the unit
- Interprets and communicates fiscal policies and procedures for faculty and staff to drive alignment across the enterprise
- Develops and facilitates fiscal trainings for members of the UF community
- Develops and supports new programs and change initiatives
- Resolves complex issues and problems, including supporting leadership with high profile projects
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
