Finance Business Partner III

Summary

Serves as a key strategic partner and liaison for leadership and finance staff throughout the UF enterprise and core finance functions.  Leads, mentors, and coaches others regarding finance processes, rules and regulations. Conducts large-scale needs assessments to provide recommendations to leadership on enterprise-wide best practices.  Designs, develops, and leads high-profile projects, programs, and change initiatives across the finance function. Develops effective partnerships between core functions and department or unit staff.

  • Consults with leadership within the CFO Division to design and implement fiscal policies and procedures for faculty and staff to drive alignment across the enterprise
  • Serves as expert on internal control standards and provides guidance to other Finance Business Partners on how to advise fiscal staff throughout the enterprise.
  • Consults with campus leadership and finance staff enterprise-wide to assess needs and design solutions
  • Provides strategic and tactical support for finance staff on complex matters requiring higher degree of understanding of the university’s functions
  • Designs and leads high-profile projects, process improvement, and change initiatives
  • Liaises between enterprise-wide finance staff and core finance function to provide recommendations on internal controls and fiscal best practices, ensuring alignment with policies, goals and standards
  • Leads in the planning process and development of finance strategy and process improvement projects to meet and support the needs of the unit
  • Designs new programs, training courses, and resources; facilitates large-scale training or presentations for members of the UF community

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate area and eight years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
