Manager, Administrative Services
Summary
This position manages multiple aspects of administration and/or functions, including human resources, financial, and other administrative services essential to the college, division, office, or unit. Manages and oversees staff in the daily operation of an assigned area. The primary focus of this role is administrative operations, not facilities operations.

- Responsible for the management of professionals and support staff for multiple administrative functions such as finance, human resources, and office operations.
- Designs, plans, and implements strategies and processes for the administrative office.
- Plans and coordinates department activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Establishes operational goals and objectives that align with the overall strategic plan.
- Updates and proposes process improvements to administrative functions within the unit.
- Identifies, evaluates, supports, and solves complex issues related to the management of a large administrative office.
- Resolves escalated problems referred by subordinate supervisors or staff.
- Plans and coordinates department activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Advises faculty, staff, and administrators regarding university policies and procedures.
- Serves as a link between higher administration and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies/procedures, and resolving work-related problems.
- Responsible for monitoring the work environment of the assigned area to ensure compliance with the University’s non-discrimination and workplace harassment policies by reporting alleged violations to senior management in a timely manner.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Provides supervision and direction to professionals and other support staff of the assigned unit.
