Production Associate
Summary
This position is responsible for the coordination of ebook publishing and digital printing production.

- Manage production workflow for ebook files, collaborating with Design and Project Editors through multiple rounds of quality assurance and corrections to ensure timely delivery.
- Convert files to digital formats, including XML cleanup, semantic tagging for accessibility, image optimization, and metadata setup for effective ebook development.
- Write and deliver instructions and files to vendors, respond to inquiries, and assess vendor performance and deliverables.
- Ensure timely distribution of ebook files to retailers.
- Manage post-publication corrections for existing titles.
- Oversee digital printing production for new and reprinted books, ensuring print quality, resolving technical issues with printers, and tracking corrections for both interiors and covers.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
