Summary

Senior member of the team with advanced understanding of processes, procedures.

Assists with onboarding, training, and mentoring.  Leads special projects and initiatives.

• Can independently handle all business transactions, including those which require in-depth analysis or politically sensitive situations.
• Coaches, trains, and teaches campus administrators.
• Leads division adoption of new systems, upgrades, testing or advises on appropriate role allocation in them. May provide supervision to others and/or provide team leadership.
• Collaborates with Contracts and Grants Accounting Services executive staff of to develop and implement policies and procedures
• Works with Contracts and Grants Accounting Services executive staff in formulating and implementing programs for administering both federal and non-federal grants and contracts, and the evaluation and enhancement of the assigned areas of responsibility
• Plans, formulates, implements and administers accounting techniques that enhance and improve the effectiveness of Contracts and Grants Accounting Services.
• Independently manages portfolio that may include large and or complex awards.
• Administers the close out of awards
• Actively participates in meetings with internal and external constituents
• Leads division adoption of new systems, upgrades, testing or advises on appropriate role allocation in them. May provide supervision to others and/or provide team leadership.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in contract and grant accounting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
