Associate Director of Alumni Relations

Summary

The Associate Director of Alumni Relations will execute strategies and tactics to expand the level of engagement to the entire Gator Nation and inspire our volunteer groups to support the University’s initiatives and expand the brand of the University of Florida, colleges and units, and University of Florida Alumni Association.

• Participate in the development and implementation of strategies and tactics to increase regional alumni engagement, including the planning and execution of outreach programs and key campus activities.
• Responsible for developing alumni programs and a variety of targeted initiatives that build and engage alumni communities.
• Supervise the assigned areas of responsibility to ensure that the established goals and objectives for the department and the university are communicated and met.
• Provide leadership and direction in policy development.
• Responsible for organizing, coordinating, and promoting university-wide engagement activities designed to promote academic and non-academic activities within the university.
• Plan, organize, and work with college volunteers and development officers and coordinate contact with the university alumni.
• Assist with supporting alumni volunteer boards and/or committees as appropriate.
• Assist in the preparation and management of the annual budget.
• Assist in the identification and cultivation of major gift prospects and in the development of the donor pipeline by providing opportunities for stewardship through volunteer committees and events.
• Oversee alumni communication strategies, including newsletters, social media, and digital content, ensuring that alumni stay connected and engaged with the institution.
• Analyze alumni engagement data to measure program success and identify opportunities for growth.

Education and Experience

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience in alumni affairs or related field; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in alumni relations or related field.
