Summary

Lead the development and dissemination of scholarly and educational publications. Manage projects from proposal to publication, oversee editorial processes, and collaborate with various stakeholders to promote open access materials.

  • Manage publishing initiatives and collaborate with key stakeholders.
  • Supervise staff and interns and support their professional development.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance digital publication capacity.
  • Coordinate with other departments for software evaluation and preservation efforts.
  • Lead communication strategies and manage project budgets.
  • Collaborate on digital publication projects and coordinate with authors and editors.
  • Lead design efforts, ensuring high-quality and visually appealing publications.
  • Supervise design-related activities and maintain style guidelines.
  • Manage the production process and inspect print proofs for accuracy.
  • Upload publications to digital platforms and ensure adherence to accessibility requirements.
  • Format content and review for quality and compliance.
  • Participate in departmental activities, committees, and special projects as needed.

Education and Experience

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience.
